The book is an A2+/B1 soft English reading adventure for Spanish-speaking families. It should feel like a simple young-adult mystery novel, not a workbook and not a children’s picture book.

Language

  • Main story: English.
  • Support sections: English with Spanish help where useful.
  • Level: A2+/B1 soft.
  • Tone: coastal mystery, family adventure, gentle suspense, humor, warmth.

Canon

Chapter 1, “The Door Beneath the Tide”, is provided by the user and must not be regenerated. It is the absolute canon for:

  • Nora, Sam, Aunt Iris, Mr Vale and Morrow.
  • The Moonwater Hotel.
  • The blue door beneath the tide.
  • The Guest Book.
  • The choice: sand, sea or sky.
  • Narrative level, rhythm, humor and cliffhanger style.
