Warrior Path: an information diet for the inner strategist

Available in Español .

Last weekend I finished packaging the EPUB for Camino del Guerrero: 365 days plus 12 monthly introductions about discipline, strategy, perception and the things required to keep the mind sharp.

It is not another book to “have around”. It is my response to an uncomfortable problem: if I do not care for my information diet, my principles dissolve.

Twitter, newsletters, videos and notifications are empty calories. I needed a daily menu that reminded me, intentionally, what I believe and what I want to practice.

The EPUB lives here: /ebooks/diario_del_guerrero/diario_del_guerrero_completo.epub. It follows a master guide: martial tone, 5-1-1 cycles – action, review, silence – and a yearly arc with 12 pillars.

Inputs that align instead of compete

For years I have read a lot and applied a lot, but irregularly. The problem was not lack of ideas. It was lack of curation and ritual.

The warrior information diet has three rules:

  1. Fixed principles, rotating sources. The axis is a set of competencies: discipline, self-control, perception, strategy. Sources may change.

  2. One thread per day. If today is perception, everything I read or listen to reinforces seeing reality without self-deception.

  3. Mandatory output. Every intake must produce a distilled result: one sentence, one decision, one minimal practice.

The daily menu

The diary is structured in seven-day cycles. I use it as a short menu:

  • Starter: read one action day from the EPUB.
  • Main dish: one external piece that reinforces the same principle.
  • Digestion: write three lines: anchor phrase, tactical decision and minimal measurement.

It fits in 15 to 30 minutes. It is training, not entertainment.

Informational fasting

The 5-1-1 cycle forces a stop on day 6 and day 7.

Day 6 is tactical review: what principle repeated, what practice did I fulfil, which excuse appeared again?

Day 7 is fertile emptiness: no digital input, walking without phone, writing by hand, letting the week’s material compact into judgement.

Without these two days, the diet becomes an all-you-can-eat buffet. With them, the system breathes.

Why EPUB?

Because it is portable, offline and closed enough to create ritual.

Opening a digital book feels different from opening an app full of notifications. The gesture itself filters noise.

This also connects with Biblioteca: I want important reading to become material for discussion, not only consumption.

The lesson

An information diet is not about reading more.

It is about aligning what enters with what you say you are.

If tomorrow you open your phone and content is already waiting for you, that is not a diet. It is a buffet. Designing your menu is an act of sovereignty.
